HeptaWell – Liver Protector (V. Capsule)

One of the most effective ingredients of HeptaWell is  Milk thistle that is a plant named for the white veins on its large prickly leaves. The active ingredient in Milk thistle is called Silymarin which is extracted from the plant’s seeds. Silymarin is a flavonoid believed to have antioxidant properties. Milk thistle is also known as Mary Thistle or Holy Thistle. It is mainly used to treat liver problems, but some people claim it can lower cholesterol and help manage type 2 diabetes.

 

Wu wei zi (Schisandra) has been used for medicinal purposes throughout Asia and Russia for generations. Schisandra may have a positive effect on several conditions and diseases. It is a ginseng-like adaptogen, which can enhance the body’s defense capabilities. It has immunity-improving, anti-oxidizing, and anti-aging effects. It inhibits Staphylococcus aureus – the most dangerous of all of the many common staphylococcal bacteria; Klebsiella pneumoniae – a common gut bacteria, causes problems when it moves outside the gut and causes infection; as well as other harmful bacteria such as Salmonella enterica, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and more. Schisandra is also used for normalizing blood sugar and blood pressure, stimulating the immune system, and speeding recovery after surgery. It is also used for treating liver disease (hepatitis) and protecting the liver from poisons.

 

Ge gen (Pueraria Lobata or Kudzu) is a root plant that appears to have traditional usage in alleviating migraines and hangovers. It may relieve menopausal symptoms, support vaginal health, promote bone health, improve antioxidant activity, may have anti-cancer effects; promote heart health; support brain health. It is believed to help the body cleanse toxic materials, unclogging meridians and dispelling the effects of alcohol while protecting the liver and kidneys and more.

 

Panax notoginseng (Tienchi ginseng) in English and San Qi in TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) Tienchi is traditionally used to reduce bleeding and resolve bruising. It helps to disperse swelling, alleviate pain and enhance blood and Qi flow to areas of blood stagnation or stasis, that often occurs in soft tissue injury to muscles, tendons and ligaments. Tienchi helps to improve exercise performance, and in conjunction with regular exercise and a balanced diet, may also assist in healthy weight loss management..

 

Artemisinin is a drug derived from the Asian plant Artemisia annua. This aromatic plant has fern-like leaves and yellow flowers. Researchers believe that Artemisinin could be an alternative to more aggressive cancer therapies, with little risk of developing a drug resistance.

 

Taraxacum officinale, also known as dandelion, is a vegetable occasionally used as a salad green. Dandelion has a diuretic effect when ingested. It is a good source of potassium.
