A lack of magnesium may also contribute to headech and migraines. Ginger (Zingiber officinale) is a member of the same plant family that includes turmeric and cardamom. Since nausea and vomiting are common migraine symptoms, ginger may be helpful in offering some migraine sufferers relief of their stomach upset. Ginger contains more than 200 substances in its oils and is known to have anti-inflammatory, anti-nausea, and antihistamine properties, which may lessen the severity and duration of migraines.
Feverfew (Tanacetum parthenium) is a flowering plant of the Asteraceae family, and some people call it the “medieval aspirin.) It is an herb that has been studied a lot for migraine prevention. Some small studies show that it may help prevent migraines in some people

Ginger is traditionally used in herbal Medicine to help relieve digestive upset/disturbances including lack of appetite, nausea, digestive spasms, indigestion, dyspepsia and flatulent colic (carminative).
